The China IPR SME Helpdesk is collaborating with the EU SME Centre in the organization of the 2019 edition of the Understanding China training Programme. The aim of the project is to better inform the partners of the EU SME Centre across Europe of the ever-changing business environment faced by SMEs and to train them up on most recent trends to help add value to their SME support in their local region. The China IPR SME Helpdesk’s external expert, Mr Valentin de le Court, will deliver a presentation on intellectual property issues when engaging with China.

About the IP expert

Valentin de le Court is a Belgian qualified lawyer with more than twelve years of experience in the intellectual property field, including four years of practice in China. His area of expertise covers contentious and non-contentious IP matters relating to patents and trademarks, trade secrets protection and management, with a strong focus on China related IP strategies and technology transfer. Over the past years Valentin has assisted European MNCs and SMEs active in a wide range of sectors (semiconductors, automotive, mobile gaming, oil & gas, digital communication, F&B, fashion, medical device and design) with their China related IP issues. Today he co-heads the IP/IT team and leads the China IP Desk at DALDEWOLF, a full-service Belgian business law firm. Valentin is fluent in French, Dutch and English.

The China IPR SME Helpdesk provides free information, first-line advice and training to SMEs to protect and enforce their IPR in China.
