On October 17, 2020, the amended Patent Law was adopted by China’s National People’s Congress. The new Patent Law, which comes to force on 1 June 2021, brings substantial changes to China’s patent system. While some changes, such as the introduction of the patent linkage system, are mainly important for the SMEs engaged in the pharmaceutical industry, others, such as the open license system or acceptance of partial designs, are of interest to all enterprises.
European Union Chamber of Commerce Shenyang Chapter, Nanjing Chapter and China IPR SME Helpdesk jointly organize the webinar on “New Patent Law – Overview of changes for SMEs” to provide SMEs with the key provisions of the new Patent Law.
During this webinar, China IPR SME Helpdesk IP Business Advisor Mr. Matias Zubimendi will provide an overview of the new Patent Law, focusing on the key amendments it brings and their importance to EU SMEs, especially to tech-intensive SMEs, in terms of application and patent infringement. The IP Business Advisor explains what enterprises need to know before the new law comes to force, providing expert tips and watch-outs for a comprehensive patent strategy.
The webinar concludes in a Q&A session where attendees can raise their questions and interact with the speaker.
