Céline Bourjolay
Céline Bourjolay is a member of the Paris Bar and the New York State Bar. She received her LL.M in intellectual property law from George Washington University Law School in Washington DC and a post-graduate degree (DEA) in American business law from the University of Paris 1. From 2000 to 2005 she worked at Gide Loyrette Nouel’s Paris Office in the intellectual property technologies and communications department, and assisted media and telecommunications companies before moving to the GLN Shanghai Office in 2005. She specialises in foreign investment in China and in intellectual property law.

Duncan Thomson
Duncan Thomson is an Australian qualified lawyer specialising in intellectual property law. He has worked with intellectual property in the Greater China area for the last three years, and with the Shanghai office of Lovells LLP for the past eighteen months. He has experience with both contentious and non-contentious intellectual property matters, and is familiar with registration, as well as administrative and civil enforcement of intellectual property rights. Currently Duncan is focusing on matters involving inventions, utility models, and external design patents.

Elliot Papageorgiou
Elliot Papageorgiou advises leading European (especially German and Austrian) companies on Chinese intellectual property issues. He focuses on IP strategies for China, IP exploitation (licensing and M&A transactions) and especially enforcement of IP rights in China via administrative actions, civil litigation and criminal enforcement. Elliot also advises on patent litigation, trade mark litigation, and has acted in number of high profile copyright (including music piracy) litigation cases in China.

Georgia Chiu
Georgia Chiu is a Hong Kong qualified lawyer specialising in intellectual property law. Georgia has been with Lovells’ Shanghai office for 3 years. Previously, she worked in the IP department of another international law firm in Hong Kong and Beijing. Georgia has wide experience handling contentious intellectual property matters including patent and trade mark litigation, and anti-unfair competition actions in China. Georgia’s experience also includes non-contentious intellectual property matters such as intellectual property portfolio management.

Henrik Jacobsen
Henrik Jacobsen is a seasoned corporate IPR lawyer with extensive IPR experience gained in multi-national corporations such as the LEGO Group, where he was formerly corporate counsel and head of global enforcement (ex. the Americas), and Bang & Olufsen A/S, where he acted as legal counsel, with IPR amongst his many responsibilities. His experience has led him to a business-oriented way of dealing with IPR measures on an international level. Mr. Jacobsen is a partner and director in The IPR Company, an international IPR consultancy based in Denmark.

Jannik Skou
Jannik Skou has ten years of experience within the domain name and brand protection industry. He’s worked with a number of Fortune500 and Europe Top 500 companies in the areas of domain name strategy, domain name management, brand protection, investigation, domain name audits and business process optimisation. Mr. Skou currently works for business process consultants and domain experts Thomsen Trampedach, who work with clients to implement either best practice or client specific strategies and solutions.

Karin Beukel
Karin Beukel is the former CEO of Kinakopi /Beukel & CO., where she dealt with IPR from a strategic and economic point of view. Karin has previously engaged in more than 300 interviews and analyses of Chinese companies, and has researched both market entry strategies as well as anti-counterfeiting strategies worldwide, with a focus on China. Karin has a MSc in international business administration and modern languages from Copenhagen Business School, where she is now a guest lecturer and advisor.

Simon Cheetham
Simon Cheetham is a China IPR Enforcement expert with over 25 years of experience in commercial investigations, due diligence and IPR enforcement in China and internationally This experience was gained firstly with the Hong Kong police force, then with a global security firm and latterly running his own international firm. Mr. Cheetham is also the Team Leader of the China IPR SME Helpdesk.

Paul Ranjard
Paul Ranjard is a seasoned IPR lawyer from France with extensive experience dealing with IPR infringements in China. He has spent more than 10 years working with China IPR issues. He is the chair of the IPR Working Group of the EU chamber of commerce in China and represents UniFab (Union des Fabricants). He is also the vice chair for the quality brands protection committee and is lawyer of counsel for the Wanhuida intellectual property agency. He has represented large companies such as Lacoste in carrying out IPR enforcement in China.
